Both groups present traditional folk music with a twist from the future, adding diverse sounds and musical elements from other cultures and genres. Be prepared!

When an MSU student, Sally Rogers helped to start the Ten Pound Fiddle. Claudia Schmidt has performed at the Fiddle over 20 times. Great friends, together they will present a balanced, delightful, warm and funny Sunday afternoon program of poignant selections as well as old-favorites.

Co-sponsored with the Robin Theatre. Since her appearance on The Voice, Abigayle Oakley has hit the folk music circuit running. She'll split the night with Fairhazel, another singer songwriter with a strong voice to be heard. Two for one at The Robin!

Frank Youngman was a member of the MSU marching band while picking up a degree in music education. Over the years, Frank has played the Fiddle with a multitude of bands including The Lost World String Band, Jive at Five, and this current ensemble with long-time musical pals Mark Schrock and Tom T. Ball.

Friday night of Women in the Arts Festival, Janis will be appearing, in-person, at the screening of the new documentary, Janis Ian: Breaking Silence. She will take part in a special question and answer event after the screening.

Ms. Tiyi and her puppet pal Rootbear bring songs, stories, movement, and plenty of laughter to Fiddle Scouts! With decades of experience entertaining and teaching children, this delightful duo engages audiences of all ages with traditional and original music, interactive fun, and Rootbear-fueled hilarity.

Memphis singer-songwriter Aybil blends soulful vocals, timeless songcraft, and a gift for storytelling, drawing on traditional gospel, classic songwriting, and a deep commitment to truth-telling.

Co-sponsored with Old Town Cultural Center. Ann Arbor's Gerald Ross and Lansing's The Springtails will split an evening show at Ben Hassenger's Old Town Cultural Center in Lansing's Old Town. Be prepared for a ukulele-based evening of songs and laughter.
