Since then, she has been enchanting crowds at Midwest (summer) and Florida (winter) venues with her combination of powerful songs and stellar accompaniment on banjo, guitar and fiddle.

After headlining the Wheatland Music Festival, Gauthier makes a stop in Lansing before heading home to Nashville. Author of 'Mercy Now,' 'I Drink,' 'Drag Queens in Limousines' and 'Soft Place to Land,' Gauthier's concerts are beautiful presentations of insight and healing. The program will feature stunning compositions by the musical trio, Aurora and Antheia, consisting of Carolyn Koebel, Cori Beth Somers and Laurie Jarski, who will also provide a musical backdrop for spoken word performances by four members of Voices of the Revolution—Shelia Burks, Tari Muniz, Lisa Sarno and Ruelaine Stokes—who will offer lyrical insights into the enduring struggle for community, love, and justice, even in the face of oppression.

The second performer to give a concert for the Ten Pound Fiddle, long-time supporter Joel Mabus gives his annual fall show to his many fans, friends and this, his folk music community. A very talented singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and political and music historian, Mabus is often mentioned as one of the finest folk music artists in the country.
