Youngman and Oldmen
Frank Youngman was a member of the MSU marching band while picking up a degree in music education. Over the years, Frank has played the Fiddle with a multitude of bands including The Lost World String Band, Jive at Five, and this current ensemble with long-time musical pals Mark Schrock and Tom T. Ball.
Youngman & Oldmen is a band composed of three longtime fixtures on the Michigan music scene. Frank Youngman (vocals, guitar, ukulele, accordion), Mark Schrock (vocals, mandolin, guitar), and Tom T. Ball (upright bass) perform a repertoire of Americana folk tunes, vintage jazz, “ancient” country music, and sing-alongs. Their music is wrapped up in stories and smiles: three lifelong musician friends committed to entertaining their audiences… and each other.
Equally comfortable in a living room, house concert, lounge, happy hour, festival, concert hall, brewpub, campfire, or street corner, Youngman & Oldmen entertain with good humor and a set list of musical nuggets gathered over the years.
Lansing-based multi-instrumentalist Andy Wilson will be joining Youngman & Oldmen for their performance at the Ten Pound Fiddle.
