Hear one of the world's best on mandolin, backed by familiar, stellar Michigan musicians, in the intimate Robin Theater for this very special Thursday night show with Don Julin on mandolin, Joe Wilson on dobro, Kevin Gills on bass and David Collini on cajon.

Don Julin, has developed a reputation for being one of the most eclectic mandolin players on the scene today. Based in Traverse City, Michigan, Don has been performing, teaching, and recording music with the mandolin for over 35 years. His original compositions have been used in productions by Sony Classics, HBO, VH1, MTV, NBC, Showtime, Bravo, National Geographic Explorer, Fox Sports, and many more.

Ever wonder what the Red Haired Boy would sound like with a one chord James Brown type of groove? Or what about songs titled Muppets On The Titanic or You Make My Skin Crawl? The Don Julin Quartet featuring Joe Wilson (dobro), Kevin Gills (bass), and Dave Collini (cajon) take listeners through a genre-bending instrumental journey that includes hints of bluegrass, jazz, latin, funk, and even a bit of baby boomer rock. Their latest recording “Live 2018” captures the magic of four great instrumentalists performing in a inspiring space, with an appreciative, listening audience.
