Mean Mary
Co-sponsored with the Robin Theatre. Mean Mary gave a very inspired performance at the 2024 FARM (Folk Alliance Regional Midwest) Conference in Chicago. Since then, she has been enchanting crowds at Midwest (summer) and Florida (winter) venues with her combination of powerful songs and stellar accompaniment on banjo, guitar and fiddle.
Mean Mary has “…the voice of a ragged Angel combined with the banjo playing of the Devil” (No Depression). She’s also an award-winning musician/writer who evolved from a child prodigy (playing for tips on the streets of Nashville) to a seasoned performer and headliner of over 4000 festivals and concerts. The Robin is excited to welcome Mary to our stage, and to join her in kicking off a season of compelling women’s voices in folk music!
