Experience active expression and storytelling through participation, percussion, and movement. This engaging session combines folk tales and original music in a colorful environment to cultivate fun and creative learning.

Storytelling and active expression are ways in which people have learned all throughout history, and the goal of Music for Everyone is to experience this. His session engages the audience with participation, various percussion instruments, movement and story! Folk tales and original music paired with a loose and colorful environment helps to cultivate a space for fun and learning!

Jon Torrence is a musician and educator based out of Michigan, USA. He grew up surrounded by music, and his own songs blend elements of folk, hip-hop, rock and r&b. He plays extensively in Michigan and Ohio and also has taught various facets of music spanning ages ranging from Pre-K to adult learners in the idioms of contemporary, pop, and folk music. Energy and improvisation are integrated all throughout his craft, including his voice in education!

Fiddle Scouts is a gathering of music enthusiasts ages 3-13 and their families who love to play with music. Each gathering features a local or regional folk musician who is adept at sharing music with everyone in the room. Fiddle Scouts often involves drumming, singing or playing a new instrument!
