The Ten Pound Fiddle produces concerts and dances at a variety of venues around Greater Lansing.

Beginning in the 2021-22 season, the new home for Ten Pound Fiddle concerts and Fiddle Scout events will be the University United Methodist Church (UUMC), 1120 S. Harrison, East Lansing.

This is the church with three bells, just north of the intersection of Harrison Road and Trowbridge Road, directly north of the Trowbridge Shopping Center.

The Copper Chimney Lounge is a beautiful, intimate room for small and medium-sized concerts. Larger shows will be held in the beautiful sanctuary with great acoustics. Events needing kitchen access will use Asbury Hall.

Key reasons for the move:  UUMC has differently-sized spaces that work very well for concerts, workshops, Fiddle Scouts, etc. so we can use a space that fits the event. There’s ample parking. UUMC has almost 200 parking spots! –  including ten handicapped spaces. And we know the space works because UUMC was the venue for the Fiddle in the ‘80s & ‘90s.

Larger shows are sometimes held at the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing, Dart Auditorium at Lansing Community College, and Edgewood Church in East Lansing.

Ten Pound Fiddle Contra Dances typically take place at the Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capital, Lansing.
