DESCRIPTION:This St. Patrick’s Day\, enjoy Celtic sounds from Monday’s Supper\, a Pub Sing led by Sally Potter\, Irish desserts and fresh\, craft stout and wheat brew from a local brewery.\nMonday’s Supper: \nSiusan O’Rourke – Vocals and Guitar\nZig Zeitler – Bouzouki\, Octave Mandolin\, Mandolin\nKat Morris – Harmony Vocals\, Whistles\, Bodhran\, Guitar\nNellie Schrantz – Fiddle \nSiusan O’Rourke from the band Monday’s Supper is the daughter of a first-generation Irish family from Brooklyn New York\, one of countless American blossoms from a rich\, ancient culture. Whether it’s one of her originals or a song from deep in the tradition\, in Gaelic or English\, Siusan O’Rourke’s dark alto voice is as enveloping as the Irish mist\, and as warm as a peat fire. \nA seasoned and versatile musician\, Zig Zeitler brings long experience playing every kind of American roots music to the repertoire\, particularly his dextrous instrumental skills on guitar\, banjo\, fiddle\, harmonica\, and especially the octave mandolin and Irish bouzouki –one of his fully 22 CDs is devoted to that latter-day Celtic instrument. They have been nominated by the committee of the Irish Music Association for the award “Top Duo” multiple times and their CD\, Chance the Arm was named Celtic Album of the Year 2014 by Irish Radio Celtic Echoes. Together Zig and Siusan bring years of craft and performing savvy to the stage\, 21st-century artists embodying the best that Irish seeds have produced from American soil. \nWith Monday’s Supper\, Siusan and Zig add another layer to their performances by welcoming a few of their cohorts into the fold.The addition of voices and instruments bring some fun and lively elements to the mix by including fiddle\, concertina\, bodhran (drum)\, and harmony vocals by Kat Morris and Nellie Schrantz.
