DESCRIPTION:Two great friends\, and members of Michigan’s Earthwork Collective\, share an evening of songs and reflection.\n\nSeth Bernard was born and raised on Earthwork Farm in rural Northern Michigan\, Seth Bernard was brought up in the folk and farmstead culture with an enriching integrative experience of the arts\, agriculture\, and community. In 2001\, Seth founded Earthwork Music\, a renowned Michigan-based collective of successful independent musicians who focus their efforts on environmental advocacy\, social justice\, creative empowerment and community building.\nA longtime iconic leader and steward of Michigan’s music community\, Seth has 12 albums to his name and a dozen more collaborative projects in his catalog. He’s won 8 Jammie awards as a recording artist and producer\, and has been featured on NPR and at SXSW. Seth’s newest work\, “Eggtones”\, is an ambitious and vibrant four album series featuring members of Vulfpeck and Jack White’s band.\n\nIn the last two years\, Bernard has launched the Clean Water Campaign for Michigan\, a social movement using storytelling and music to uplift the groundswell of support for water issues\, and Title Track\, a non-profit organization engaging creative practice to work for clean water\, racial equity\, and youth empowerment.\n\nhttps://samuelsethbernard.com/\n\n\nJordan Hamilton\, cellist of Last Gasp Collective and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra\, merges songwriting\, loop pedals\, sample machines\, and vocals to create a sonic landscape of experimental hip-hop\, folk\, soul\, and classical music. The Western Michigan University graduate aims to find new ways for the cello\, a traditional instrument\, to relate to a modern audience where it can be found playing the music of Bach\, the Beatles\, or Chance the Rapper.
