DESCRIPTION:This Celebration dance is co-sponsored by the Fiddle and Looking Glass Music and Arts Association.  \n6:30PM Potluck – bring a dish to share\, with labeled serving utensil\, plus your place setting(s) if possible\n7:30PM New dancer lesson\n8PM Contra dance party begins\n9:45PM Break for special yummy desserts\n12:00AM Welcome in the New Year! \nFeel free to bring snacks to share. If it’s gluten or dairy free\, please label it. Thank you! \nPlace your name on your serving dishes\, including serving utensils\, so your items are returned to you. \nPay what you can: $5-30 ($20 suggested) \nAll dances taught – no partner needed. Wear loose clothes\, comfortable shoes\, and be prepared to have a good time!  For more info\, call 517-614-5858. Come Dance in 2026! \nLiz Burkhart hails from Cincinnati\, OH and has been calling contra dances since 2018. During that time\, she has called extensively in the Midwest\, toured the Mid-Atlantic and down south\, led workshops at multiple dance weekends\, and called Winter Warmup in 2024. Her enthusiastic energy and clarity encourage dancers to connect and move with each other joyfully. Liz seeks to find the balance between celebrating the joys of tradition and the innovation that modern contra dance craves.
