Program note for 2008-2009. Concerts will be moving back to Friday night. The advantages we'd hoped for by doing concerts on Saturdays didn't come to pass, but some unforeseen challenges did. So- beginning in Sept. of '08 we'll be back with Friday night concerts. The monthly contra dance will stay on 1st Saturday. Thanks for your support of and interest in the Ten Pound Fiddle. Planning is underway for the next season of great music and dance.

New for 2008 - we are joining SyndicateUs.org - a local group of venues, publishers and performers providing calendaring services. Have a look at our new calendar.

In addition the Ten Pound Fiddle, here are some other performances that may be of interest.

Since 1975, the Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse has been East Lansing's home for acoustic music - a concert series known for evenings of enriching, quality entertainment, with some 30 weekly concerts & monthly contra dances each season.

Our concert venues are intimate, featuring international performers from folk, Celtic, Blues, Cajun, and traditional roots music. The Fiddle is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization; admissions are very affordable; free parking is nearby; concert halls always have clear views of the stage; and performers always sign CDs and chat after concerts.

How to get a schedule of our shows:

Our website and schedules will have details, times, and places. Our new website accepts Paypal for online advance ticket sales; advance tickets will still be available for some concerts at Elderly Instruments, Archives Book Shop and the East Lansing Food Coop.
